Honey
Honey
As we embark upon this journey
Cherish the little things
Oh, the joy that it brings
All that remains
Will stay the same
A still image
Stands in an invisible frame
Grandma’s singing behind a wooden podium
White blouse
Red skirt
Microphone to her lips
Her head tilted upward
Life is in her eyes
The words are good
And must come out
A testimony of bare feet running free
Goods exchanged for honey
Your memories are your friends
