Honesty of a Drunk Person
Give me a new piece of paper for me to rhyme over
I speak the honesty of a drunk person, but my mind's sober
Life wasn't going to hand it to me, so I had to find closure
Had to take a step back to see things clearly, because some things aren't worth going blind over
Some risk losing everything while gaining nothing at all
I'm tired of being the only real person in this fake world
Some guys cheat with a shallow woman and lose a great girl
The same idiots will throw away the number of a girl they're dying to call
Girls ignore the good guy, for someone who treats them bad
They could have a guy who'd do anything to make them happy, but stay with someone who keeps them sad
Then when the bad guy breaks their heart, they cry that no good guys exist
Sorry, but I'll be long gone and won't be your second choice wish
We waste our time and ignore those who adore us
We refuse to help the person who'll do anything for us
We chase the person who doesn't want to come our way
We want sun when it rains, but it's raining now, so we're complaining we don't have sun today
We fight over dumb things and make small issues turn big
We say things without knowing the impact that words give
They kill innocent people, rape women and hurt kids
We're forced to live with this suffering but none of us deserve it
We cry for those who aren't worth our tears
We ignore our dreams and happiness, and focus on hurt and fears
Life won't give you it, so you have to find closure
I'm speaking with the honesty of a drunk person, but my mind's sober
