Homeward Bound
When I'm weary, and forsaken
when I'm worn and feeling down
I will cast this heavy burden
far away, I'm homeward bound.
Homeward bound, homeward bound
take me there, solid ground
I will lift my eyes to heaven
while my feet turn homeward bound.
As I travel o're the highways
on the roads beside the sea
I will gaze along the byways
knowing you'll be there for me.
Through the valleys and the rivers
through the forests and the trees
in my heart, I am rejoicing
soon I'll have you here with me.
Homeward bound, homeward bound
take me there, solid ground
I will lift my eyes to heaven
while my feet turn homeward bound.
When I find you, I will hold you
and I'll never let you go
for you are my lifelong treasure
no more years of life alone.
Homeward bound, homeward bound
take me there, solid ground
I will lift my eyes to heaven
while my feet turn homeward bound.
