Homeward Bound

It’s been a long time since we talked, many days have passed A bitter road I have walked but those days won’t last For I had lost my way in a test that I always fail As I forgot to pray and thus this story of that tale The pandemic had come causing my routine to change But to all of this I was numb as it didn’t even feel strange As each day had passed my new routine became the same Seemed I put Jesus last and in this I felt pretty lame But I was stubborn in my way, towards the Lord I was defiant I wanted things my way and missed every sign He sent But I knew something was missing because I felt it in my heart And so I began wishing for simply a brand new start Remember the prodigal son, the Father ran to him upon his return Well I finally said I’m done as Jesus told parables that we would learn So as the new year rang in I decided to return Home Resolute in conquering all my sin There’s no longer any need to roam Luke 15:11-32 The Prodigal Son
