Homeward

If you come, I’ll be awakened
From the dream I used to see
By surprise I shall be taken
If you come to visit me
Life’s a soup made of illusion
And reality we hold
Add some pepper to this fusion
I can throw a pinch of salt
Let’s come out for a walk
I might say to you
Under shady trees we’ll talk
Like we used to do
But if you won’t come to me
Then I’ll go alone
To the shore of this old sea
To hear it splashing on.
