Home Sweet Snow
The moment I saw you, joy took away the stress
I thought it would be yesterday but only a guess
I heard you would be coming soon, perhaps overnight
But now that you’re here, you’re quite a cool sight.
Let’s hope you’ll be generous and leave me a ton
Maybe you remember last winter what you had done,
You laid out a plush blanket under that big bright moon
I left my footprints upon you while dancing a tune.
So glad to see you for it’s been awhile
My face is not the same without a big smile
I haven’t been well since you went away
I lost so much weight since you didn’t stay.
Last winter those that saw me would wave and say hi
But nowadays they don’t even glance when passing by
Please stay with me and keep me ever so strong
This snow is my home where a snowman belongs.
