WITH DEDICATIONS TO WOMEN AND MEN WHO ARE ABUSED BY THEIR HUSBANDS AND WIVES OR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS AND CAN'T FIND THE STRENGTH TO LEAVE. I HAVE BEEN THERE, THAT DARK PLACE THAT MAKES YOU DOUBT YOURSELF, THAT MAKES YOU BELIEVE EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF HIS OR HER NASTY MOUTH..."you're not good enough, your're fat, your ugly, your a bad wife, a bad mother, no man will ever want you, your ruined, your crazy, you will never find another man like me."  EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY  DRAINED.

When he arrived home, All he gave to her, Was gone, He will sleep on a broken heart, All alone, His fist can no longer break her, His words can no longer make her, Through no fault of her own, He visits her eternal bed carved in beautiful stone, "God has healed my bruises, With him I am safe and loved at home." The tears that fell from his bloodshot eyes, Quenches the soil, Reaching deep inside, She swallows his remorse and pitiful cries, One last drink that she despised, The weeds have grown where he sighs, He will break, Until, He too, dies. I despise domestic violence in every from Vickie.. You wrote about the serious issue with great poeticness.. however, it is an evil which so many suffer from..
