Home Is

Home is where your heart is
These words are often used
No matter where you travel
Whichever path you choose

A cheery morning greeting
With sleep still in your eyes
Scrambled eggs for breakfast
Delicious homemade pies

A friendly chat with neighbours
Reviewing the latest news
Tender words of sympathy
On days you're feeling blue

Nothing's more appealing
Than a tasty home cooked meal
The squeal of kiddies' laughter
The happiness that you feel

A comforting hug of sympathy
When you're day is going bad
The cherished words, “I love you”
Which take away the sad

A home is not so much a place
But a reflection of the heart
When you're with the one you love
Your passion is off the charts
