Home In the Pasture

the Sheppard said to his flock, you are my sheep
you have blessings from above to which you shall keep
he will watch over us and I will watch over you
life will be unshaken all your years through.

graze as you will in trust of unity and security
I’ve been at your side from birth to maturity
God has his trust in my being your keeper
no evil lurks nearby and there is no reaper

must you want to leave and be on your own
take all you need from what I have sown
life can lonely each season you draw in
here is home should you return again.

Very nice. I was just writing about freedom in a pasture, the other day :) I enjoyed this.
