Home Improvement

It's easy to do nothing, As the years pass, to your house. "It looks okay" - a maxim Many homeowners espouse. But if, at last, the motivation Strikes and you proceed, You may discover some improvement's What you really need. A paint job, new appliances, Replacements for your chairs, A spruced-up garden and a guy Who's handy with repairs. From day to day, it's hard to see How much we acclimate To our surroundings, even as They turn so out-of-date. A few small changes may just help You get into the groove And you may be surprised to find Your home and mood improve.

Time flies when you just sit and watch it. :)

I agree with everyone below. Timely, since we just had a new floating floor installed. Plumbing is my least favorite as well. We still have and old console TV in our spare bedroom, and this is an easy to relate to poem which I must add is very well worded and rhymed, as always. Well done my friend!...........pat

It is amazing to me how you captured what we all have felt before - you change one thing, and suddenly everything else looks shabby and needs an update too. I like this one a lot, Ilene!

How true are your words, especially if you set something on an old TV program and you realise you still have one lol. Tom

The plumbing being my least favorite of all. Another entertaining yet informative rhyme, Ilene.

I can relate as we are thinking of getting a few jobs done around the house so its a very timely poem - you just get used to your surroundings and 'live with it' but it really is time for change:-) hugs Jan xx
