Across the midnight sky
i see a flash of light
a sign of things to come a message from above
telling me i must go
never to return to my home
i feel like a prisoner in this new place
not knowing a friendly face to go back i cannot
for i found the place that i sought
out so long ago still i feel lonely in this new place
i remember my home my family my friends
never to see them again
i will be strong and go on for its not my place to say i dont belong
maybe some day i will find my way back
to see the land i left so long ago
to smell the air to see the snow
