Is this more about reading the eyes and understanding the soul? This one is smarter than me. I enjoy the challenge and reading it.

p.s. I try to create cool tags to get my poems out there, but sometimes I'm not sure how PoetrySoup-ers find my poems... I'm curious, where did this one show up? (I'm not a premium member, so not sure if theirs get featured more). Sometimes I enter contests (so they might be more visible if someone is reading through them), but this one hasn't yet.

Not too smart for ya. :) I wrote it kinda mysteriously. I can explain, then it'll make sense. Yes-- "reading the eyes and understanding the soul..." this is in there. :D It refers first of all to the Divine Mercy Chaplet, which includes a prayer that goes "O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus, as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You."

And I wanted to find a word that rhymes with "heart." And earlier I had read a reflection on how looking into the Holy Face of Jesus-- His Eyes -- leads to trusting prayer. I'm thinking of switching the couplet around... check back and see what you think. :) Have you read or heard of the Diary called "Divine Mercy in my soul"? :D
