Holiday Salute
santa gave me three
lovely Christmas wishes
request to share holiday
dinners and gentle kisses
Old tunes play on the radio
those sweet pumpkin pies
But my warrior prefers to
answer dedicated battle cries
Forever thinking of you
whilst your missing me
proud of the brave way
you fight for our country
this blessed day, salute
the red, white, and blue,
best present ever got
under the tree was you!
