Hold Me In Your Heart

Hold me in your heart that's so fair
I want to hold you through the night
Who longs to keep me from despair
To be with you at mornings light

I'd love to know your thoughts and dreams
Hold me in your heart that's so fair
I want your light in all life's seams
I'd love to have a life we'd share

All of my desires I would lay bare
If you my lass were here with me
Hold me in your heart that's so fair
Then I'll lift you for all to see

My dreams are all I have of you
This love we'd have would be so rare
Tonight I'll dream of all we'd do
Hold me in your heart that's so fair

Hey. I thought you said you didn't do syllable based poetry. Sonnets and quaterns use a given number of syllables usually. Maybe I misunderstood your comment. Anyway , keep up with this form. It really suits you
