Hold Me In Your Eyes

(Sung to the tune of “Traces of Love’)
Verse 1:
Hold me in your arms
Let me feel the touch of your love
Keep me feeling warm
You’re the one I’ll always think of

Chorus 1:
So tenderly, O my love,
You touch me with your eyes
Let love arise

Verse 2:
Hold me in your eyes
Let me taste your warm affection
For you are my prize
You’re the answer to my question

Chorus 2:
That long I’ve asked, O my love,
Could love be sweet as this?
I know from your kiss that love is you

Bridge:
Hold me, my love
And when you do
We'll sing in harmony
Our song of I Love You

Chorus 3:
For if you do, O my love,
I’ll hold you in my heart
And when we’re apart,
Love will stay

My Re-Write of the song "Traces Of Love"
--- Original Lyrics:

Verse 1:
	Faded photographs
Covered now with lines and creases
	Tickets torn in half
	Memories in bits and pieces

Chorus 1:
	Traces of love long ago
	That didn't work out right
	Traces of love

Verse 2:
	Ribbons from her hair
	Souvenirs of days together
The ring she used to wear
Pages from an old love letter

Chorus 2:
	Traces of love long ago
	That didn't work out right
Traces of love with me tonight

Bridge:
	I close my eyes
	And say a prayer
That in her heart she'll find
A trace of love still there

Chorus 3:
Traces of hope in the night
That she'll come back and dry
	These traces of tears
	From my eyes

Oh this is a gem I finally got to read my friend! Each verse dives deep into tender emotions of soothing love. The chorus just wraps me in its melody. This is a fave for me John :) It deserves the views it has received and more accolades. :) I had a feeling I would love it before I read it.
