Hobo Butterfly

Hobo Butterfly Rest here Weary Monarch Though Monterey calls you No flight for broken wings that seek Healing Born in this arbor - this hospice - Begging release to fly The wind express Again! 4/28/20 Based on an injured butterfly, in our garden, that hitched a ride on the grill of our car. We think he finally made it to Monterey and we have had butterflies in our garden ever since that summer.

Thank you my friend. I have always loved butterflies and the metamorphosis they represent in each of us through love. Caring for this injured butterfly was an incredible experience - although injured frogs, birds and other assorted stray critters do tend to end up at my door! Hmm! Blessings!

Excellent butterfly cinquain (about butterflies! ) speaks of renewal, second chances, and a true story to boot! Your love of nature is so evident in your writing, Sam.

This creation and his story still bring us joy as part of our urban family legend! This butterfly was a gift - a reflection of God to me and an opportunity to be a steward of the wonder of creation! Thank you my friend. Your messages always give me new wings! Not Red Bull wings!

Thank you Richard. Each day we watched as this Monarch butterfly got stronger and stronger, crawling all over our arms - unrolling his tongue to drink nectar (honey and water) from an eyedropper! If he didn't make it to Monterey he left us a legacy of annual butterflies, or flutterbies, as the kids called them. This memory brings us such joy. Blessings!

This reads like a story of healing and hope (and maybe karma is rewarding you with butterfly summers!) Are you entering any of these in the butterfly contest?

This small creature was a sign of healing and hope! I do believe the chickens always come home to roost - what we put out there does come back to us. We look forward to the return of the Monarchs each year - just saw one yesterday - Hobo returns! Have just entered this one in the contest. Thank you Michelle. Sending you positive thoughts!
