History is the memory of truth
History is the memory of truth -
A permanent fixture of time,
Proof of the truth they try to erase
An archive of buried trauma
Truth never asks permission,
It demands accountability,
Despite the problem of erasure
Memory becomes its time capsule
Missing pages becomes the oppressed stories
Ones buried, but still alive -
A tomb without a body
And like energy the truth cannot be destroyed
Whitewashed history becomes normal
Blank pages go unquestioned
The unaffected allow deceit,
They lack thought to those erased
The problem of oppression,
Is the problem of ignorance -
The lack of emotion to those deemed ‘inferior’
But also the proof of their history of hatred
