His Warm Embrace

She listened to their favourite song,
As she lay there on the bed.
Oh the times it brought back,
Such memories it fed.

She could feel his arms around her,
His warmth against her skin.
She remembered how he looked at her,
And how she looked at him.

Life long lovers they had been,
Her passion never waned.
Since he was taken from her,
She'd never been the same.

She closed her aged, tired eyes,
She felt his warm embrace,
Then cast aside this mortal coil,
And looked, upon his face.
