Like fireflies, glistening in the twilight Filling hearts with the sweetest calm, Coloring thoughts in peacefulness, so I write Words reflecting the grace, its tender balm Breathing joy through the soul’s darkest night Like starlight, hastening to stir the heart, elation’s fire Blazing auburn in the heat resembling summer’s skies Whispering to the spirit, rhythms who inspire Erasing all the past with a soothing kindness to chastise Glowing like the moon whose dream will not expire Like sunrise, beckoning silently from the still, cool dawn Amazing the summer with affection so beautiful and wise Music to the moments who remember loves to dwell on Poetry in promises made by the July’s laughing beams advise Promising mountains to birth the light to which they’re drawn Like the striking grace poured out on those who hear God’s tears In the rain, the dew, the way that storms brew in the East Relieving the spirit of its burdens, its past, its timeless war with fears Who linger inside when the joy, the laughter, the light has released The heart from its yearning, its burning belief – calling through the years
