His Vicarious Sufferings
Only one made propitiation for all,
He took with him the burning incense,
He only had access to the holy of holies,
Others stood in the outer
court with their burnt sacrifices,
Blood of animals was shed to atone for their sins,
It wasn't potent enough,
It couldn't mediate perpetually,
There was a missing piece in the puzzle,
A human sacrifice was Ihis piece,
He only could bridge the gap
between mortals and the immortal one,
None else could bear the
sins of the helpless mortals,
None else could carry the weight of the world,
None else could deliver the
people from the oppressor,
He took off their chains and shackles,
He cut off the puppets' strings,
He set them free from their hard, untold labour,
God gave His son for us all,
God’s only son gave his life for
all humanity even to the unborn,
He entered into the holy of holies once and for all,
He died but his body didn’t decompose,
The earth and gravity had no power over His body,
He resurrected after three days,
For His assignment was done in the underworld,
Now we can have access to the Father,
We can come also into the holy of holies,
We can approach the Father's holy throne,
We can find grace to help in time of need,
He sits beside His Father,
Jesus, the mediator and high priest.
