His Reply

Every morning I say, "I love you" And work so hard to display my beauty Do I do it for love or because it's my duty? This body has been shoved pushed around just for fun. My lips, nose and head have bled long after he was done. These eyes have been blackened and have shed so many tears. My ribs, fingers, and heart have been broken repeatedly over the years. This woman curls up in the corner and prays that it will end. Days are spent hiding and lying- waiting for wounds to mend. the day spent planning how I will leave... But every night I say, "I love you" And then he says… he loves me.
