His Promise
When the world runs fast
and you are left behind~
CLUTCH yourself upon God’s mighty hand;
Don’t GLIDE with the shifting sands, just walk slowly~
For you will surely miss little things
that give great happiness if you run fast, too.
Take time to soak in morning sunshine
and INHALE it’s scent as it slowly creeps
above orange-HUED horizon;
Let your spirit SOAR and GRASP her warming light
that mirrors in the stillness of the sea.
Take time to whisper to the winds
and hear how they whisper back~
Let you heart CLASP to the ground
and feel the heartbeats of all creations
vibrating deep within up to their last GASP.
Look around the strings of hope that survive;
The VINES where we cling on still stood
amidst the trembling seasons.
Take time to live and love~
Be grateful to the Omnipotent Creator
And HOLD on to His promise of everlasting life.
