Notes About The Poem
Regina's Gospel Song Contest ~ August 5, 2026

His Music Plays on the Wind
Each day we wake to hear a symphony,
Composed by our loving Father above.
With the beautiful words in melody,
God graciously gives us His merciful love.
We hear it when melodious songbirds sing,
Calling out to the sun in the morning breeze.
It's found in the beauty of an eagle's wings
And in waves across the turquoise seas.
It floats high above us on billowy clouds
and helps with soothing our troubled minds.
His music is never too harsh or too loud
Enjoyed by those who's on His Word dines.
Chorus:
Do you hear His music playing on the wind?
It carries ever so softly to one and all.
How gently it touches our cheeks like a friend,
Rustling golden leaves of Autumn as they fall.
Through nature's beauty, He brings us peace.
Listen closely and you will certainly hear
The calming sounds of tranquil release
From our anxieties and our shadowed fears.
We can feel it in the warming rays of the sun.
Hear it trickle in the flow of mountain streams.
With each song, our renewed faith has begun,
It shines brighter than the light of moonbeams.
We should offer Him praise each day as we rise,
Praying that He will allow the music to start.
once we decide to open our ears and fill our eyes
His symphony will eternally play in our hearts.
Chorus:
Do you hear His music playing on the wind?
It carries ever so softly to one and all.
How gently it touches our cheeks like a friend,
Rustling golden leaves of Autumn as they fall.
Do you hear His music playing on the wind?
It carries ever so softly to one and all.
