His Eyes

Have you looked into His eyes?
Have you really... really looked?

Do you see the deep desire He has
Of wanting you in His Kingdom

He wants us all to be with Him
It is we that choose another way

His eyes were always showing love
Love poured out even in His anger

And when He taught, He loved beyond
What manner mankind could ponder

Even when nailed upon the cross
His eyes were filled with love

Though we, His accusers felt it not
His love was pouring out for us

His life was lived to show us God
And teach us of His ways

His death was such that we ourselves
a debt could never pay

To clear a wrong so grievous ....
so we could hear Him say,

‘Come my child, your home awaits
 .... in My Father’s house’.
