HIKE summit to the top lace those hiking boots peak performance: Half Dome, Mount Whitney, the Grand Canyon "the trek IS the destination"
The Clarity Pyramid is a poetry form designed and constructed by Jerry P. Quinn, consisting of two triplets and a single line (7 lines in all). Usually, this poem is center aligned when displayed. The first triplet has 1, 2, and 3 syllables. The title of the poem is the one-syllable word of the first triplet, which is displayed in all capital letters. This line is followed by a two-syllable line, and then a three-syllable line, both of which clarify the definition of the poem, or are synonyms for the title. The second triplet has 5, 6, and 7 syllables. Its design is based around a life event or memory contained within the triplet which helps give a poetic view or outlook on the first line (title). The last line is 8 syllables, and is in quotations as this line contains a quote that defines the first word, which is the Title. written 14 Sep 2020

Ha ha, I hear you! My wife won't go near a hiking trail with a ten-foot trekking pole. Thanks for the uplifting comment, Paula. Enjoy your day.

Just read your comment below to me. That is why I finally did the one difficult challenge on warriors and wrote only what I knew! Congrats for your win. It was one of my favorites for this form of poetry.

Although a third place, in my eyes it deserved more. A hug for you. (John)

Our son and his wife do a great deal of hiking and have done a few of the South African famous ones. My daughter in Laws parents have run the comrades 11 time, run from Durban Natal, to Pietermaritzberg 96 kilometres away, and most uphill. I love your verse for Joseph, I'm sure he will too. Blessings, and hugs, Jennifer.

Wow, those are remarkable accomplishments, Jenn. I'm sure they must all be in top physical condition! Mt. Whitney is the highest US peak outside of Alaska, Half Dome (pictured) is a famous California landmark (on the back of the US quarter honoring our state) and I'm sure you know of the Grand Canyon. Thank you ever so much for the lovely comment!

My sister has hiked Mt Whitney, it was a night hike, she and a couple of her friends did it - as for me, a nice 'stroll' will suffice :)

A night hike? I'm impressed! I was with a group who chose to do it in three days; we backpacked and spent two nights on the mountain, which made the pace of the hike much more to our liking. Thanks for the comment, Michelle.

Yes, they were otherworldly. Like being in a plane flying over the valley but your feet are on the ground. Enjoy your day, Victor.

For a couple of years I lived in the mountains. A person gets a whole new perspective from them. Good write, John.

nice one and lovely shot of half dome...i did that hike years ago and froze one third of the way up the rock...one hour later, I finally moved (downwards) after I saw a thundercloud moving my way and I heard that lightning liked to strike the dome lol...that was a trek I'll never forget but I still need to reach the top! :)

no trauma... I still plan to finish it...I went alone the last time cos my daughter was too young to do the day hike but now she and I can go together and I am packing climbing shoes and gloves with extra grip...perhaps a rapid-release parachute or mini-glider too in case lol :)

Oh, you're not alone! There were a number of folks who stayed at the foot of the cables until their friends returned, some like you who didn't finish the cables... I hope your dreams weren't troubled by the experience, it can be very traumatic. I helped my brother-in-law up, who was nearly overcome with exhaustion but didn't want to turn back. Thanks for the visit.
