Highway One, California

Highway One California Lovely and so cooling, was driving my  1956 Chevy Bel-Aire ragtop! Its whitewall tires, its heavenly hubcaps. Just stunningly gleaming! That magnificent red and white convertible! With joys, so profoundly thrilling! June 2, 2019 7pm PST                _____ Dedicated  to my parents,  who gave me this car on my birthday. Thanks, Mom and Dad for letting me "Drive My Dream!"

I also had a red and white convertible. I knew it was not the best buy for the money, but there is nothing like a red and white convertible! I had forgotten about it until I read this poem, so thank you for my own memories!

There were only 41,000 made of these. Today, I saw one that cost 120,000.. Too bad I can't buy one. Glad you also had a red and white, Panagiota

I guess one has to ride in one to Appreciate its beauty. Cars are not made like that anymore. I am a fan of The Jaguars made in the 1980s. That's like riding in heaven. Vitaj, thanks for not passing me by. My poetry is not necessarily image filled. Much based on hard reality. Which is not popular here. Others are way better at images, etc. Panagiota. I like drama and also truth.

Fond memories along Highway One for sure while most kids receive a bike for their birthday.

I did have two bikes in addition to the car. I used the one bike before thr car. The second bike was for friends who visited from far away. I grew up an only child. My parents bought ice skates for my friends, too, other kids were like their own. Som parents. Panagiota

Good Morning Anne! You are a resourceful one! )) Glad you saw it. What a peach of a car! And thank you for FAVINg it. I still know it was the most beautiful car I owned. To add to your picture, saddle shoes were quite hip then. I drove that car to school. No more buses! My friends and I had a blast. Panagiota. Xoxo...with immense appreciation.
