There once was a freshman from Thomaston
In ignorance wanted to have just fun
When facing failing grades
Played even more arcades
His higher education now undone

I think limericks sound better when they have consistency in the lines' number of syllables. Just my opinion! Anyway, I was very pleased to see your poem and now to know you are its author.
