Higher Court
You took him,
You left the old man lifeless,
You stole his dreams,
You stole his money,
You left his family scared,
You left his kids fatherless,
And what do you get?,
What do you get for this devastation?,
Twenty years in jail,
Free room and board,
Free television and meals,
You took anothers life,
You destroyed his family,
And the courts showed you mercy,
The government shows hospitality,
You should be confined,
No comforts,
No light for you to see,
And the lawyers who fight for you,
They should be confined also,
For they are fighting for what they know is wrong,
You live another day,
But one day you will have to answer,
You will answer to God,
Sit in you'r cell,
Get you'r free room,
Get you'r free food and television,
But damnation is waiting,
You will have to answer to God,
And no lawyer can help you,
Not there.
