High Rollers
Listen, what do you hear?
the clank of coins dropping
someone hit the jackpot
The quiet murmur of voices
sound of dice rolling
a sense of tension in the air
Flipping of cards
by the dealers
as they deal your fate
The rumble of the ball
as it runs round and round
bouncing into a number
The large restless crowd
around the poker table
someone is winning big
Most will go home broke
their money now the casino's
maybe a lesson now learned
Whatever the outcome
fun was had by all
now it is time to go home
