Hiding In Cocoon

Truant night wind sails--its moon without song
I long for rapt, minstrel's tune.
My angst wrapped in cocoon
Angel child ... gone in June.

This one reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Way to go. Great rhyming words. Sara K

Wow! That's very nice! It looks like maybe you wrote this for a contest I am not going to win.

reading your poem left me with a lingering sense of sandness. I like the use of cocoon. Well done yellow rose

Love how 'cocoon' works in this englyn, Nette. Kudos! ~ Emerging from Immaturity

A well-crafted Englyn poem my dear poet sis Nette! This is quite difficult for me to do especially on any topic but you did it so well. Hope I can to try this soon and the other forms. Best winning wishes to you. Thanks a lot for sharing. God bless you always. Hugs

you've creatively written a melancholic poem...with sincerity. I like it.
