Hidden Reality
A veil of reality impedes my sight
And keeps in the dark what is hidden by the light.
Though I search the day as if it were night,
My vision is hampered by my physical plight.
As I peer out from this human haze,
From amidst the walls of this worldly maze,
I can see the roads convenience paves
That lead to ourselves, thus making us slaves.
But I am given a sense, a certain sensation
That my soul can feel in its desolation.
It is touched from above by the realization
That this physical world is an aberration.
When God formed man from Creation’s pond
Man shared with God a spiritual bond.
Love would call out and love would respond,
For it was in love in which man was donned.
We were not created for worldly chains
Nor intended to suffer from earthly pains
But man once made a choice for selfish gain;
The result of which still remains.
Before us still is the ability to choose,
A gift of Love we will never lose.
Some will accept and some will refuse
To receive this gift as a blessing to use.
Now I see more clearly, though I cannot see
A more real form of reality,
And my physical form is intended for me
To help me respond spiritually.
