Hidden Crush
I had met this real nice guy at the gym one day,
we just started to talk and I liked him;
everything else but him faded to dim,
I think he is wonderful like a bright sun ray.
His voice is deep and into his eyes I could swim,
he asked me for a coffee- I said yes;
our chatter is great I must confess,
and meet Saturdays for exercise at the gym.
We are so calm together and there is no stress,
talking of politics and our week;
really on any subject we can speak,
his salty grey-white hair I would like to caress.
We have a friendship really special and unique,
I have a huge crush on this awesome man;
oh, from the moment we met it began,
at my new poetry he takes a weekly peak.
Wonder what would happen if I was more than fan,
if friendship became a true romance;
oh, maybe that leap is too great a chance,
so will keep my crush hidden until I have a plan.
