Hidden Blessings
Some try to break you because they're broken
as they don't know of any better
So many ill words have been clearly spoken
& you'll watch them eat every letter
This can be seen as food for our starving souls
that we eat so we can learn
Many are consumed by what it is they owe
but these are debts that they have earned
I've learned to embrace the lessons given
so I can use what I've been taught
This life is really a school of many classes
an experience that can't be bought
Be careful of fools as they've been blinded
& are unable to see their foolish ways
Every now & again they will be reminded
that their souls have been led astray
Some of these stray cats haven't a home
so they make beds out in the wild
Just know when you sleep you are alone
with all of your acts considered foul
These acts are disguised as hidden blessings
for both you & those that you accost
You never know with whom it is you are messing
until the bill comes & you see the cost
