Hi-Story
Walking back in time
Remembering all the time
You held my head so high
Though time had brought its ties
I longed you hold me tight
Although my hands were tight
I knew someday you'll come
And break free all the ties
No pain, no gain i thought
But love from you not bought
To bribe i tried but fault
It is 'cause you're God
I hid behind the smile
A bleeding heart i nursed
Tears that blurred my sight
The promise was a mess
How then would you come?
By fire,water,or better still
In form of angels
Just to blot me out of sin
Am changing day by day
Imperfect still in making
Hoping someday soon
My story changes stones
My history now a hi-story
You've raised the standard high
Not even the greatest man
Can stand to challenge what's done
Trusting you completely
Walking in your footsteps
Seat belt locked
I wait, safely home i get
