Hey Diddle Diddle
Hey diddle diddle, dee
Mother Goose is cool
She's a kid's teaching tool.
Nursery rhymes, you rock.
I've read you all my life,
and as adult full-grown
made up some of my own.
Here 's one you've never heard:
Hey diddle diddle, dee,
Cat’s fiddle is too loud.
The cow seeds a cloud
and drops fall down.
Milk rains like cats and dogs;
but if the dogs should laugh
they morph into a calf.
Fiddle-dee-dee!
As veal cutlets mushroom,
veal scallopini thrives.
Dish jokes with spoons and knives
“Here’s the beef.”

'You and yours, lets get personal any theme thereupon, any form, in my FINAL' Poetry Contest by Brian Strand.
Nursery rhymes likely have had more impact than I realize
on my joy in writing poetry, the rhythm and rhyme and make-believe.
