Notes About The Poem

he’s really nowhere man

h e ‘ s r e a l l y
   nowhere man
     living life
   s a n s p l a n s
stuck on roads
   kicking cans
       b u y i n g t i m e

h e ‘ s r e a l l y
   nowhere see
u s e d t o b e
   a maitre d'
for a cruise ship
   on the sea
       f i n a l l y e s c a p e d

h e ‘ s r e a l l y
   nowhere son
a n e n i g m a t i c
   friend of none
playing hard
   having fun
       d y i n g I n s i d e

h e ‘ s a r e a l
   nowhere cat
d o e s n o t c a r e
   where he’s at
growing old
   getting fat

Interesting. Well, it is hard on a person who is trapped with this kind of personality. I hope he can become a person who can relate to at least a few other people. Sara K.

This is such a pivotal message about lost opportunities - the first stanza so lonely - a well penned piece, Mark.
