He's Done It

He’s Done It

He’s done it
I don’t have to
No need for me
To struggle, worry, fret.
He’s done it all.

Each failure, fault of mine,
I can’t go back and do them right
Though spend a load of time.
No effort of my mind
Can go to yesterday
And change those thoughts and words
That God defines as sin.

So what’s to do
To get things right
Move out of darkness into light?
I’d better spend more time in prayer
And read my Bible more,
Take much more care
Control my thoughts
Control my lips
Control my motives too.

Oh Jesus, come again to me
Show me the Way, the Truth, the Life,
Help me relax
Find peace in You
Walk in Your ways
Think as You think,
No more in self
To slide and sink.

I need Your work
Your glorious work
At Calvary.
You died for me
You bore my sins
You rose again to give new life,
My precious, precious Lord!
