Notes About The Poem

Here We Go Again

So we go into second full lockdown It's simply just getting everyone down No meeting places for us to go to Contact with only those bubbled with you. They try to tell us things will get better I'm starting to believe that is never What has happened to the life that we knew Just what in the world are we coming to. Remember those lovely days we all shared Walking around freely, without a care No mask to wear, that steam up one’s glasses When hugs and kisses came automatic. Life is not easy behind our closed doors Who knows what heartache all this might have caused The sick and lonely, what chance do they have When no one comes calling, it is so sad. Do you remember dancing in the streets Flowers in our hair and loving real sweet Mini skirts showing one’s thighs to the guys Nothing stopped one reaching for stars in skies. Should we believe what the soothsayers say All will be well again, some sunny day.

Liked the poem, I’m sure most have shared your thoughts. I have to hold for for hope...the alternative is seriously depressing.

Very well expressed and written Belle. It has been a horrible situation all over the place. I hope that you are well and I know many people will connect with what you wrote :)

I think life as we knew it will never be the same. I think there will be changes but I don't know what. I feel for the young people but I also feel the stage is being set for Jesus to come for His church then the antichrist takes over. Thanks for all the visits to my page. Sara

Hi Sara, I also think life will never be the same as it was, it is sad for the children not being free to enjoy the things children love to do. Your thoughts on the stage being set for Jesus coming to rescue the good and leave the others behind is food for thought, maybe, Gods does work in mysterious ways, we’ve all found that out many times for ourselves. Thank you too for visits to my page. Keep safe, take care... Belle

All great questions, Belle. Are you, like me, starting to suspect some kind of scheme here to turn people into Cabbage Patch Dolls?!... I honestly don't know who to trust anymore or whether or not anything I'm reading constitutes reliable information... Oh, well... Round and round we go... Thanks for a thought-provoking read in a lighter-than-air format. Healing and Hope, Gershon

Hi Gershon, it’s hard to get one’s head around all the conflicting info we’re constantly getting, perhaps you’ve hit the nail on the head. We have to dance to the tune or we’ll get fined or shut up in a prison room. You’ve gotta have hope, thanks... Belle
