Here Now

As I whisper names in darkness here
I leave my scent where you still stare
When will you learn that I’m alone?
I don’t want your pity, painted moan

Touch me as I start to shake
I need release, I need to quake
With longing and with soft abandon
As we rock in secret tandem

Love is strangely relative
Bemused I laugh as you fall…
For only jest can make me stay
I live from future far away

Consumed I rest in lover’s arms
Letting life take me by storm
Because I choose to here ignore
The chance that we will live for more

For whom among you can entreat
My wholesome fearless ecstasy?

And who among you can survive
My art when fully uncontrived?

Satya, Indeed your writing is "uncontrived." You say exactly how you feel, making beautiful use of language. Thanks for sharing, Carolyn
