Here I Am
That's how I am and I should not be surprised.
It's how I really look.
I am not astonished at what I am.
I'm flesh and blood.
That's the way I am, that's my body.
I see myself in the mirror,
Trying to find some flaw.
I look at my hands,
I look at my face
I look at my whole body,
And I see a naked body
Unsatisfied with his reality.
Trying to hide his image.
This is how I am, that's my body.
I must accept what I see and what I am.
I should not let the complex
Dominate me and confuse me.
I have to understand
That this is my body.
And that my mirror just reflects
The truth of a before and after.
Through the years,
It notifies us of the changes.
That's why I feel proud.
That this I see in front of me,
It is only a mirage of what I am;
An aging body
And of what I was before.
That's the way I am, that's just the way I am.
