Here At the Ocean

Here at the ocean, safely inside, views that conspire
Salt in the air, shadows that lie, in the dark of the night
She was love, without kindness, trying to escape sunset
Sands moving time, the tide retreats, platinum foam
The air of night, sea-gulls crash, no feelings to secure you
My shadow runs, the dawn of light smiles, honesty screams
Wait in this place, my lover is in flight, fire in her eyes
Contentment is fear, loneliness is patience, green with envy
I’ll wait for my love, by the sea, where the sun never shines
