Herbert(15)in My Garden
How warm the sun upon my face
The morning beauty fills my sight;
With creative, expressive grace
Coloured blue,yellow green and white.
A solstice June
Mid-summer tune
Fills heart and mind with pur delight.
Inspired by George Herbert's poem 'The Flower' a heptad verse comprising a quatrian/couplet
and final line in 8/8/8/8/4/4/8 yllables ryhme scheme ababccb
