Her yellow flowers, a fading warmth
The scent of damp wool,
my own retreating back.
Her skirt, a pale flag
in the periphery.
Yellow blooms, blurred
in the streetlamp's halo.
The weight of a memory,
a phantom touch.
My shadow stretches,
longer than the night.
