Her words wrote the justice that we deserved

Basking in the sunlight In a field of flowers A peaceful look in her She looks up to the sky And realises how much she loves life This is all she wanted In a world that eradicates through hatred In this moment She felt grounded Listening to the sounds of nature She lost a lot of her family To police brutality As the sun shone down on her She could feel their love kiss her She often felt herself being guilty For choosing to keep on living But this little treasured moment Filled her soul With love, hope and purpose She took out her journal Her words, her motivation To get justice for her people She wouldn't waste time wallowing When the world needed fixing She looked up to the sky One last time A smile on her face A fire in her eyes And a glow from the sun rays Entrusting her with an energy That can't be tamed The world would know their names Her passion overrides their hate She would make sure the world would pay For their crimes committed throughout history She would put them in the spotlight Strip them of their dignity Rid them of their ego And when there is nothing left to take She would give the people a show Make an example out of the oppressors To make sure the public would know What happens When you mess with black people
