Her Wheatfield of Mud Part 1

This is to be a collection of poems of a image l saw and will never forget how it humbled me.

                                Her Wheatfield of Mud
part 1

She walks the mud,
as fields of wheat
her heavy burden,
a daily meet

her house of boards
her fortress own
her daily trek
pains hers
alone

l watch afar
in tourist car
she's no idea
im very close, she's very near.

this image seen
& what it means
her vision's time
has entered mine.

hi John..l keep getting flash backs that wont go away to the image l witnessed when we went to Africa yrs ago.l need to paint it.A lone, proud woman, wading knee high to reach her home, food basket on her head through a field that was just total mud Something else in the field, which will be revealed in my collect of poems l was mesmerized. How we drink in sights and sounds John. Some good, but some torture us.
