Her Time Was Up

Her time was up

Perishing days of her life
Passing by in a flash of lightning!
Forever gone and never coming back.
A mother, indeed children have lost.

Weeping eyes of pains
In the mist of tragedies...
Days of loneliness rushing like a storm,
Life never to be the same anymore.

Forever closed are her eyes that shall never see.
Lips once voiceful now voiceless...
Thoughts permanently silenced!
Life's battery finished!

Her time was up,
Time for a never-ending sleep.

Lament children of Africa, lament
For it is through those tears that you will be healed.
