Her Thoughts

Inconsistency leads to so many questions Will I ever receive an honest confession? Secret stalking seems to be one of your obsessions Why am I treated like one of your possessions? Affection you portray, I’ll met with my rejection Is your belief based on love my secret election Are thoughts in my mind guided in that direction Feelings by design for closer inspection When I mention my dreams you seem to snicker And a polite introjection pulls a certain trigger Untitled our story still remains As I burn this ink into this page Soaking past pages in the sea Watching them sink while shyness flees To one day destroy your demon and mine Draw me closer as two hearts entwine Under the sweet warmth of a new dawn sun As our souls intertwine there is no reason to run Our opalescent lives have just begun Burning to our core there is now fire in our eyes Let the cleansing rain fall from the skies Like a Phoenix we will rise in recital Sing a song I don’t want to title (My rewrite of a poem called Jinxed)

this was such an evocative and profound poem. The deep questioning and introspection struck a chord with me. The lines "soaking past pages in the sea" was my favorite for sure. Nicely done. Have a splendid Sunday, Sara

A very well written poem full of depth and emotion. Profound thoughts throughout and great rhyming. Particularly love the lines, ‘As I burn this ink into this page’ ‘ Soaking past pages in the sea’ and the poignant last two lines. A great write. Really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you :):)

Incredible how a person can never give up when not wanted. Fortunately, I never had that situation, Blessings.

Hi TS, run away from anyone trying to steal your dreams, The world is filled with people who snicker. No, I’m not kidding, I had to fight hard to get what I want and you know what I got what I wanted. I ran from partners who try to walk on my dreams and glad I did. Great lovers make you rise like a Phoenix.negative extra baggage with you?, drop them. You are a plus in my life. Pangie

This is a very heartfelt and evocative poem, reflecting so much angst, vulnerability and ache. All these questionings that you've described here are very painstaking and brings to the surface, a sense of introspection for all the inconsistencies prevailing in the connection.. Yet, there's still hope in the end that all the demons will be cleansed away and there will be a new dawn.. A wonderful write, truly.. Very deep..
