Her Poem To Him
I love your mind and heart, your smile and your gentle touch
Your spirit, your laugh, the inner beauty that shines when you speak
When you share your thoughts, your love of life, your love
Call it destiny, fate, chance, coincidence;
the unspeakable energy which carried us to
this place in the universe where our souls met,
captured in an extraordinary gift of time,
beckoning us to search for the words unsaid,
willing us to explore with our bodies and self
more than simple pleasure or growing passion
this need to reach out to each other, not with hand,
but with mind, heart and soul
to find that which is elusive, why we are here,
and where do we go from here
