Her Lonely Heart Plea
She unties the rope that bound her to shore
Anchors the mast and straddles the oar
Retreating to set adrift on the sea
Fighting the current of her lonely heart plea
Her brilliance and beauty I admire from shore
Desiring her sails with their wild allure
Saddened when she’s seen no more.
She searches for calm in the raging of storm
But can’t see the clearing when nothing’s the norm
She ponders a voyage so long ago craved
Stronger from the turbulent waters she braved
But once again she is lost at sea
Her lonely heart now pondering me
“What if it were meant to be”?
“What is it.. that I cannot see”?
The wind in her hair whispers “Be Free”
As she fixes her gaze on the stormy sea
avoiding the pain of her lonely heart plea.
