Her Faerie Lantern
She left it somewhere, but she knew not where
It was easy to find if fully charged.
She had no idea whether it was or not.
Others arrived to help her.
She had been to mushroom village
And to the pond, but in the daylight.
She remembered carrying it,
But was it today or yesterday?
There you are! She said, delighted.
The lantern winked at her.
Showing her love all the way home.
Wishing she did not have Alzheimer’s
For she was being left more and more often these days.
